W
elcome to the Hagakure West Country Web site.  Hagakure West Country dojo was formed in 2004 under the name of Fudoshin with the aim of teaching and developing the arts of iaido, jodo and kendo. In 2005 after eighteen months of success Fudoshin was invited, by Leonard Bean Sensei, to join the Hagakure group of dojos.

Accepting this offer has given the dojo more technical resources and made us part of one of the largest Iaido Schools in the country, as well as training with friendly and supportive colleagues we have known for years .  Teaching at all Hagakure dojo's is carried out by experienced black belts who are also BKA qualified coaches.

One of our many aims at Hagakure dojos is to develop the arts of Japanese fencing in a friendly and safe environment with a strong spirit of Budo.  Every student at Hagakure is treated as a unique individual and is helped to build on their strength's and to conquer their weaknesses.

Hagakure dojos are non profit making and are affiliated to the British Kendo Association, the National Governing Body for iaido, jodo and kendo in the United Kingdom.
